The Hellebore

The step-by-step techniques to create The Hellebore will grow your creative confidence without the excessive tool list.

These techniques will transform you from feeling like a cake maker to feeling like a cake artist and experience artistic confidence whenever you create sugar flowers knowing you can colour, shape, and finish your flowers without confusion or hesitation.

Before I tell you everything about this transformative The Hellebore course, let’s talk about who it’s really for…

You’re a cake decorator who’s getting in touch with their artistic side. Your dream is to create stunningly elegant sugar flower bouquets that will increase the value of your cakes and knock the socks off of your friends, family and clients.

  • A new and budding cake decorator who can bake a delicious cake but has only just dipped their toe in the world of sugar flowers and you already find it to be exciting and invigorating

  • A cake artist with a few years years under your belt, wanting to attract a different clientele and shift your business’ aesthetic to high-end, elegant cakes that align fully with your artistic vision

  • An experienced cake decorator who wants to spend time on the creative side of your business instead of re-creating other people’s work (ahem… Pinterest cakes). You might also want to refine your artistic vision so that you can create work that reflects your true self and build a portfolio of what you want to create moving forward

You’re in the right place and I’m going to tell you exactly how The Hellebore will give you the techniques, creative confidence and a step-by-step guide to create your most stunning Hellebores yet.

Investing in Your Future & Business

Stefanie M

I loved this course! I made amazing peonies and flowers from the 5 day challenge on my first try. The Facebook group is indispensable. Alexandria and others are always available for help. The course was full of content, clear and well put together. I would recommend it to anyone looking to take their decorating skills to the next level. It is not just spending money on a class it will be investing in your future and business.

The Best Compliment!

Patricia C

I love that her sugar flowers are so different, they have their own style. I also really like the limited number of tools she uses in her tutorials, I’m always interested in new techniques so this was exciting for me. My nemesis is dusting and though I still have a long way to go with this the dusting explanations were most helpful. I definitely feel more confident with this aspect than I did before taking the course. I was very happy with the outcome of this project. I have been told they look so real— the best compliment!

Enjoying the Creative Process

Paula S

I am truly enjoying the creative process of making sugar flowers, and although the end result is absolutely important, Alexandria has helped me to approach this art form with confidence and an open mind. Nature isn’t perfect and there aren’t any absolute, so I am adapting to a more fluid style and seeing beauty in all aspects of my sugar flower creations.

The Hellebore

If you’ve ever gone to wire a petal only to have the wire poke through, the petal fall off or feel not-so-secure when it’s fully dried then you’ll love this course.

Not only will you learn how to properly wire your Hellebore petals, this is a big step into colour theory and my dynamic dusting process.

Making The Hellebore centres will spark your creativity and open your eyes to all of the wonderful options that nature gives you! These techniques are so flexible and you can adjust them to the style of your cake or the look that you're envisioning.

Learn how to mix the perfect gumpaste colour, avoid splotchy or muddy dusting on your flowers when you mix multiple dusts on one petal, and how to add finishing touches to your flowers that will bring them into “are you sure those aren’t real?” territory, fast.

Is The Hellebore right for you?

If you're looking to learn a wired flower that can embrace and embody all of your creativity, you need The Hellebore course.

Highlights Include:

  • The Hellebore course will help you create not only beautiful hellebores but will assist you when you need to make any wired petals in the future

  • A deeper understanding of colour theory which you can take into all of your future flowers and create the hues, tints, tones and shades that take your cakes from disjointed to dreamy (no more muddy, dull colours!) This is one of the key aspects to sugar flower creation that can make your arrangements feel cohesive and elegant

  • Using a simple group of tools to create your flowers and learning how to shape, texture and manipulate each petal. You’ll have options to use veiners you might already have or skip them altogether and still achieve beautiful results. Not only that, we only use one set of basic teardrop cutters for this entire course and you can use these same cutters for a multitude of different flowers moving forward

  • Feel comfortable achieving the look you want when dusting your flowers. We’ll use techniques to accentuate textures on the Hellebore and layer multiple colours for a realistic look. We build up colours slowly so you never end up with splotchy or heavy-handed areas on your meticulously crafted petals

  • How long will I have access to this course?

If you pay in full (or complete all payments with the payment plan) you will have lifetime access to this course. You can access and download the modules any time after their release and you will also have lifetime access to the Facebook Group to ask any questions pertaining to this course as you continue on in your sugar flower journey.

  • I’m very new to flowers, I’ve only made a few. Can I take this course?

YES! You can absolutely do this. I recommend starting small with the Majolica Rose Workshop so you can become comfortable with basic techniques. Once you’ve finished that you can hop right in and begin practicing centre petals, outer petals, and putting together your first flowers. Sugar flowers just take practice so if you’re willing and excited to put in the work I know you can do it.

  • When will I have access to the course? What if we’re in different time zones?

This course is pre-recorded so you will get immediate access to the full course and you can watch at your own pace. I recommend watching it once through before starting then while you’re making your first few flowers you can play it as you go so it’s like we’re working alongside each other.

  • Will Alexandria be available to answer questions if I get stuck?

I’m going to be here for you every step of the way. You can ask urgent quick questions in the Facebook Group to me and your fellow artists along with in the Discussions section of each module. All questions are saved in Discussions so it’s a great place to go and see if I’ve already answered your question.

These bonuses are included to help you apply the principles we cover to every flower you make and create stunning pieces of sugar art- confidently.
